Functional
Does it work?
The inquiry gets answered. Communication goes out. Payment gets collected. The client gets served. The process gets completed.
A functional experience tells us the process ran.
Client experience consultation
Your clients are being served. Things are moving. From the outside, there may not be anything obviously wrong.
But “it works” doesn’t tell us whether the experience is helping the right people say yes, strengthening client relationships, making delivery easier, creating repeat business and referrals, or supporting growth.
I help growing businesses move from a functional client experience to a profitable one by figuring out what’s happening, what it’s producing, and what should change next.

Functional → Profitable
We tend to judge client experience by whether things work. Did we communicate well? Was the process smooth? Did the client get what they needed?
Those things matter. But there’s another question I want businesses to ask: What did the experience produce?
Functional
The inquiry gets answered. Communication goes out. Payment gets collected. The client gets served. The process gets completed.
A functional experience tells us the process ran.
Profitable
The right clients say yes. Clients stay, return and refer. The team can deliver efficiently. Clients get the value they came for. The business can see what’s working and make better decisions because of it.
That’s the difference between an experience that simply functions and one that contributes to the business. It shouldn’t just run. It should produce.
Recognition
That’s usually where I get interested.
Maybe the business has grown but parts of the client experience haven’t grown with it. Clients love working with you, but you’re not sure what that trust is producing. Your team gets the job done, but getting it done involves way too many workarounds.
You’re collecting feedback but not really using it. Or different people own different parts of the client relationship and nobody has stepped back to look at the whole thing.
And maybe there isn’t a dramatic problem at all. You just know there’s another level to how this business could serve people and perform.

Why Geretta
My work in client experience started on the operational side, helping businesses improve the systems, communication, workflows, and processes behind how clients were served.
That experience taught me something important: a client experience can work exactly the way we designed it and still underperform for the business.
Today, I look at client experience through what I call the People + Profit Formula, because a profitable client experience has to work for more than the client.
I look at the experience of the people involved: you, your team, and your clients. Then I look at what that experience is producing for the business through things like retention, referrals, expansion, reactivation, and lifetime value.
That gives us a much bigger picture than simply asking, “Are our clients happy?”
We’re able to look at what’s happening, what clients are telling us, what the team is experiencing, what the numbers are showing us, and where there may be opportunities we’re not seeing yet.
Then we determine what should change. Because I don’t believe in prescribing the solution before we’ve diagnosed the problem.
The conversation
We’ll talk about where your business is now, what’s changed as you’ve grown, what you’re trying to accomplish, and where the client experience may be helping or getting in the way.
I want to understand what you’re seeing, what you’re not seeing, and what you believe needs to change. I’ll ask questions, help you look at the problem from a different angle, and determine where I see the greatest opportunity.
If I believe I can help, we’ll talk about what I recommend next.
You don’t need to diagnose your own business before we talk. That’s my job.
Frequently asked
That’s a great place to start. The next question is: What happens because they love you? Can we see it in referrals, retention, reviews, repeat business, expansion, loyalty, or better outcomes? A great reputation is valuable. I want to know whether the business is fully benefiting from the trust you’ve already earned.
No. I work with growing founder-led businesses as well as companies and organizations with established teams. The scope changes based on the size and complexity of the business.
No. If you’re doing most of this yourself, we’re going to look at your experience too. A client experience that works beautifully for the client but requires the owner to personally hold everything together may not be working as well as it appears.
No. This isn’t a Dubsado service or CRM audit. I’m interested in the experience your systems are helping you create, not selling you another piece of software.
Then “we don’t know” tells us something too. You don’t need a perfect CX dashboard. Part of the work may be determining what you should start measuring.
Not necessarily. A profitable client experience creates value for both the client and the business. That can show up through retention, referrals, repeat purchases, adoption, better delivery, stronger client outcomes, increased lifetime value, or making the experience easier and more efficient to deliver.
